Weekends are the time to enjoy family and relax, but in between baking and Netflix, there will always be cleaning. They say the only thing in life that is certain is death and taxes…but that list should also include weekend chores - inevitable! Just when you thought your home was finally neat and organized, there’s always something else that becomes messy *sigh*. Even those of us with exceptional cleaning habits often miss things that need attention. There is a deep satisfaction in getting your home really, really clean, then sitting back with a cup of tea and relaxing (while watching everyone make it messy again).

Incorporate a few of these into your weekend routine for a home that sparkles:

  • Sanitize light switches
  • Sanitize door handles
  • Dust ceiling fans and light fixtures
  • Wipe down baseboards
  • Wash the walls
  • Scrub AROUND the toilet
  • Detail tea pots
  • Deep clean all hairbrushes

Work out how often you want to clean these things and add them to your weekly routine!

Journals are great for people on the go — but if you’re looking for something that you can display in your space, this M.C. Squares reusable task chart is a wonderful alternative. Its simple layout allows you to list up to 12 habits and check them off by the day, and since its surface is a whiteboard, you can erase and reuse it up to 2,000 times.

A pack of dry-erase sticky notes you can place all over the house because they're great for leaving notes, reminders, or labeling. Stick them on stainless steel, cabinets, glass, or plastic, and simply rinse the back to make them sticky all over again.

These As Seen On Shark Tank dry-erase sticky notes, because I can't be the only one who has had 900 Post-it Notes everywhere with dated notes on them. In comes the reusable dry-erase stickers! When you're done, just wipe them clean! They also stick to basically *any* surface. I have these. Can confirm.
